Breakout Session: “Exploding the At-Will Employer Myth,” by Rebecca Turcotte Kish.

About the speaker:

Rebecca graduated from Douglass College, the Womens’ College of Rutger’s University, with a BA in political science. She received a full fellowship to attend the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutger’s University, where she completed a Master’s program in political science, with a concentration in American Government.

After completing her graduate degree, Rebecca went on to work in a variety of human resource roles with Fortune 500 companies, such as Revlon, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, FujiFilm and Goodrich Turbine Power Services. These roles included specialized responsibilities for staffing, compensation and benefits, training & development as well as generalist HR functions.

During her career as an independent Human Resources consultant, she gained a wide range of project experience including implementation of Human Resources policies, compensation and reward programs, performance management and staffing programs, supervisory development programs such as succession planning, and cultural change for a variety of companies, located in the U.S. and Canada. She was an adjunct Senior Consultant for Alex Sheshunoff Management Services, a consulting company serving the financial services industry, headquartered in Austin, TX.

A member of SHRM and GSHRM, Rebecca is also certified in a number of training programs including all Achieve Global (formerly Zenger-Miller) programs, Success Through Service, Competitive Solutions Team Foundations, Tom Peters “The Leadership Challenge” and Wilson Learning’s Social Styles. She gained her Registered Corporate Coach designation in 2018.

Rebecca joined Propel HR in May of 2014 as an HR Director and provides HR consulting, strategic planning and team building facilitation as well as management/supervisory training for her clients.
